In a mixture of lecture-performance, documentation, reflection and reenactment, Willimann/Arai present their longterm-research-project The gift exercise and investigate hospitality as a performative setting. Therefore the audience is invited to take a seat at their table and to join a reflection about the ambivalent roles and the complex relationships between hosts and guests – on the level of human relationships, in artistic collaborations and also in its sociopolitical and economical implications.
